Our Plants are Growing "BEE"-utifully!

Our Wisconsin Fast Plants are in full bloom. The students are logging the growth in a journal and making weekly comparisons of the plants' growth. In the two pictures below, you can see how healthy our plants are. James is making careful observations and logging the information in his journal, and Vincent is using a hand lens to observe the parts of his flowering plants.

In the picture below, Marissa is pollinating her flowers using a bee stick. For the Wisconsin Fast Plants to produce seeds, they must experience cross-pollination.

Finally, in Room 107 the plants have produced seed pods. In just a few days, we will be taking our plants off of the watering system to dry out the seed pods so that we can harvest the seeds.

Keep watching our blog for an update on our Plant Unit!
